I Need Help
In an Emergency
If your partner strikes you (battery) or threatens to strike you (assault):
- LEAVE IMMEDIATELY If possible, the first thing you should do is put yourself out of harms way. Go to a family member or friend's house. If that's not an option, go to the police station or hospital. If that's not possible, just get out of his presence, go to a public place where others can see you.
- CALL 911 Inform the police that your life is in danger and that you need immediate help.
