Crisis Intervention is an effort to reduce the severity of a crisis by providing assistance that will help victims regain some sense of control in their lives and help them understand their reactions. Prevention Education programs are designed to give students a basic knowledge of: Communication Conflict resolution skills Building self-esteem How words can hurt or heal Different types of abuse Students learn how to develop a support network and receive instructions about how to identify positive influences and ignore negative influences so that they are able to make good choices.
