Community Education

Looking For My Sister will provide extensive and continuing community education as a key component in achieving our goal of eliminating domestic violence in our communities. Our programs inform the public about the dynamics of domestic violence and the toll it exacts on families and on society.

Staff and volunteers appear before corporate audiences, civic organizations, church congregations and other public forums in an ongoing effort to increase awareness about the issue of domestic violence. Professional workshops are available on a wide range of topics including but not limited to: Domestic Violence-indicators, dynamics, Work place violence and dating violence. Below are some of the organizations that we have conducted great Community Education Workshops or Informational Booths:

St. Mark Baptist Church
Finnie High School
St. Timothy Church
